To enhance the capability of technical personnel involved in site monitoring and investigation, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) XII facilitated an in-house training on basic drone operation in Koronadal City.

A total of twenty-eight (28) MGB XII technical personnel participated the in-house training on basic drone operation. To implement the basic health standards protocol, the technical personnel was divided into four (4) batches. The first batch underwent training on January 14, the second batch on January 21, the third batch on February 4 while the last batch was on February 11, 2022.

The SOCCSKSARGEN Responsible Miners Association (SRMA) convened primarily to formulate its CY 2022 Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Plan on January 12, 2022, in Koronadal City via Zoom Application.

SRMA President For. Geronimo L. Sequito, TMC Community Relations Officer, presided the meeting with the following agenda on Mining related recent policies, SRMA plans and programs, and IEC plans.

The members provided inputs in the formulation of an IEC plan. Some of the activities that were discussed are the conduct of Stakeholder’s Forums/Workshops, Media Forums, Tree Planting activities with the Local Government Units, SRMA Road Show on Responsible Mining, facilitation of Mine Tour/Learning Visit and others. Due to health crisis, the activities will be implemented in consideration with the minimum public health standards.
