The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) XII grants the 1st Mineral Processing Permit (MPP) in the Province of Sarangani to Will & Joe Aggregates, Inc. on May 27, 2022 at MGB XII Conference Room, Koronadal City.
After complying the mandatory requirements in accordance with the provisions of Republic Ac t. No. 7942, otherwise known as the “Philippine Mining Act of 1995” and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) and the evaluation from MGB XII technical review team, MGB XII approves the Will & Joe Aggregates, Inc.’s application for MPP denominated as MPP No. 003-XII. The said MPP will be limited to the purpose of Sand and Gravel processing and shall be for a period of five (5) years renewable for a like period but not to exceed a total term of twenty-five (25) years.
The approval of the permit was held in the presence of MGB XII Regional Director Engr. Efren B. Carido, the signing authority, Jerome Catan, plant and project manager of Will & Joe Aggregates, Inc., and MGB XII Legal Officer Atty. Mary Charlen Joy P. Suedad.
An MPP refers to a permit granted to a qualified person for the purpose of mineral processing that includes milling, beneficiation, leaching, smelting, cyanidation, calcination or upgrading of ores, minerals, rocks, mill tailings, mine waste and/or other metallurgical by-products or by similar means to convert the same into marketable products.
The Will & Joe Aggregates, Inc. is the 3rd Mineral Processing Permit (MPP) issued by MGB XII in Region XII. The two MPP’s were issued to TMC-Tribal Mining Corporation and Eastern Star Resources (ESR).
