On August 7, 2020, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau XII extended assistance to the affected families of Barangay San Isidro in Koronadal City after heavy rains and flash floods swept the area  on July 28, 2020.

A total of 145 families were affected leaving 15 families homeless as their houses were damaged by the flash flood. These displaced families were prioritized during the distribution of basic commodities donated by MGB XII employees that included kitchen utensils, food packs and unused clothings.

 According to Barangay Chairman John Lloyd Gabutin, some of the most affected families sought shelter in hotel establishments. It is said that the displaced families lived in Purok Pagkakaisa. “We put focus on the 15 displaced households. They are left with nothing as their houses were damaged by the flood. On behalf of my constituents, we thank everyone who helped us in providing our emergency needs,” Gabutin said during the distribution.

MGB-12 released a flood hazard advisory after the conducted sight geological investigation and assessment on July 29, 2020 in Purok Pagkakaisa. Recommendations addressed to the barangay council were presented to mitigate future negative impacts of the geohazards identified.
