MGB XII HOLDS “SALAMAT MABUHAY” PROGRAM FOR RETIRING PERSONNEL

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) XII held last November 24, 2020 a “Salamat, Mabuhay Program” dedicated to four (4) MGB personnel who will retire from public service.
The MGB XII retirees include Mike P. Diamel, Supervising Science Research Specialist of the Mine Safety, Environment and Social Development Division (MSESDD), who served for 34-years, Annabelle B. Gonzales, Planning Officer II of the Office of the Regional Director (ORD), 43 years , Ali Z. Mangelen, Administrative Assistant III, 34 years and Bolawan D. Hassan, Administrative Assistant II, 31 years, both designated at the Finance and Administrative Division (FAD).

MGB XII UPDATES LAKE SEBU GEOHAZARD MAPS

The Geohazards and Engineering Geology Section (GhEGS) of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) XII conducted a reassessment of geohazard data of the 19 barangays in the municipality of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato last October 19 to 31, 2020.
Landslides and flooding in some areas in Region XII are triggered due to the rainy season. Geohazard maps are useful for disaster preparedness and management planning. The specialized maps indicate areas susceptible to rain-induced landslides and flooding.
MGB XII CONDUCTS OCCUPATIONAL STANDARD FIRST AID TRAINING

A total number of twenty- eight (28) personnel of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau XII completed the 2-days Occupational Standard First Aid Training on October 6-7 and October 15-16, 2020 in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross South Cotabato Chapter at the MGB XII Conference Room, Koronadal City.

- Tuesday, 30 March 2021The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) XII launched various activities in line with the 2021 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) with the theme “Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!” from March 1-30, 2021 in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
On March 8, 2021, MGB XII kicked off the NWMC live on line with a total of seventy (70) personnel joining the activity that included the showing of the NWMC video primer, NWMC-related trivia questions and “bring me” game, and capped with the search for MGB XII’s Wonder Juana and Super Juan. “It is no longer only about women empowerment. We know that women are empowered and we, as men, should enable and assist them to bring out their strengths,” emphasized MGB XII Regional Director Felizardo A. Gacad, Jr. He also reiterated that extraordinary times need extraordinary sacrifice in performing continuous government service.
